When they can break out of it-he he!I actually swaddled my second til she was 7 months(leaving an arm out), whatever helps them feel more secure and sleep better.

I was actually just reading about this in a pregnancy mag I have.. It says not past 3 months because it can affect they're motor skills, but I dunno? I'll have to put that on my list to ask the doc next week.

it really depends on the baby. Some hate to be swaddled and some have to be swaddled.

Mine stayed in it for about a month, then she kicked the covers off.

Until they don't like it anymore, which usually occurs around 3 months or so. My son didn't like it after 2 months though.

My 4 week old will have no more swaddling... She wants to be free!

We're going to have to just stop one day...my husband can swaddle so well I think he could swaddle ME and I wouldn't be able to get out !

i only did it a couple times after we came home from the hospital. but i live in hawaii so it's HOT. occasionally when she's unconsolable i'll swaddle her in a blankey, not a receiving blanket, and she likes it. she's 5 weeks now.
