his pecker is red!?

ok i was changing his diaper and i notice and his lil pecker on top is red...it looks kinda irritated(sp?) is there any thing i can put on it? is this normal?

Red at the tip? Or red around the base (where the foreskin meets the tip, if he is circumsized)?

ben and gavins skin around the hole turns bright red after they pee. it goes away after about 2 min or so... is that the red you mean?

It is probably just a little raw from being in the diaper. Like diaper rash on his pee pee, just put some rash cream on it and it will clear up.

At the doctors she recommended an ointment you could buy if it looks irraitated (sp) but I cant remember the name.
Maybe someone will mention it or you can try calling your pedi if it stays red like that.

it's probably just irritated. I know my son's gets like that sometimes. Usually if I pull the foreskin back and take a warm rag or wipe and wipe around it really good it clears up. Something might just be in between that is bothering it.

Yeah that is fine. When we were at the urologist with my son (we had to get his circumcision checked) he recommended doing it every other diaper change.
