SIL troubles

my husband starts a job today, i work from 10am-7pm now and he will be working from 7pm-3am (sucks because we will just miss eachother) but it means less time that someone else will have to watch her. we've decided that he will bring her next door to our neighbors who are so nice and they have 2 little boys 4 and 8yrs old, they play so good with her, and if go over without Lana, they always ask where she's at bc they want to play... well before we decided to use our neighbors, we were checking out our options and my husband asked his sister. who has 2 kids 1 very hyper 6yr old and a very bossy 3yr old.. she's always trying to tell Lana what to do... (when she comes to our house she hides Lana's toys and tell's her "no mam" if she tries to get one!!) so i didn't really want to put lana in the position of them fighting with each other... Well i just told my SIL that we've decided on someone to watch lana, i told her it was our neighbor she's like "oh....." and pretty much ended the call there... god... she just doesn't understand.. she's always telling JC(my husband) that i must not like her because i never go over there, they only live down the street... i never go over there because i work ALL day and the time i do i have i'd like to spend at home with my daughter... grrrrr....

who cares what SIL thinks, not her life or decision, She will get over it!!

The way i look at it, you have to make the decision on whats best for your little girl, and if she is happy with your neighbour and you are then thats what counts..

It sound like you make the right decision… so don't stress, your the Mama you know what’s best!!

honestly when we initially asked her if she could watch Lana she said well 10.00 a day will be good... WTF! it's like 2hours tops for only 3days a week....
then she changed it and said if we'd watch her kids a little every now and then that would work... well her kids i believe are little hellions... the girl like i said is bossy over lana, she screams and cries if she doesn't get her way.. and the little boy is uber uper hyper... and frankly i don't want Lana picking up on those habits...

thank you everyone so far for your responses... i know that i feel i did the right thing, just sometimes family can be a pain.... and i feel like i'm being mean, and i don't like that...

ya, she obviously was planning on taking you up on watching her kids. She needs someone to watch them. WTF it's your SIL $10 a day? Maybe the neighbor, but seriously that's crazy.  . I wouldn't worry about her being offended. I also wouldn't want my child around that bad behavior on a daily basis either.
