SICK OF THIS!

posted 16th Jun
i am so sick of this! Every time i try to dye my hair its not taking. Only in the roots and the new growth! I know my hair is a little damaged and that I shouldnt be trying to dye it anyway, but I am sick of this black hair. I have always had my hair some time of brownish red, golden brown or some light color! now as soon as i go jet black i cant get my hair to go light again! Not just that I cant even get the freaking dye to work! I dont know whats wrong. maybe because my hair is so damaged the reason why is is only taking on the new growth? I dont know but Its upseting me! anyone know anything about hair that can possibley give me some advice? Now let me go wash this out again and see if it take! I'm only doing a srand to see how it works first! be back!

If your hair is dark in order for it to go light you need to bleach it..

hmm... maybe you should make an appointment with a professional before doing anymore damage to your hair.. the home dyes have WAY more chemical in them apposed to a salon.. since the salon actually mixes their own dye they control the amount of chemical in it...

Did you color it black? If you used permanent black color that is the hardest thing to get out of your hair! You may have to go to a stylist for a color correction.

if you dyed it black then you will have to bleach it out and I wouldn't use anything store bought because it can cause MAJOR damage. Your only choice is to see a hair stylist or just let it grow out and avoid dying it black or dark brown again hon

Color remover will work way better than bleach, but you have to have a license to buy it in most states, your best bet is to have it professionally done.

not if you use a relaxer in it. You shouldn't put any more chemicals in it right now. If you use relaxers and then bleach it can cause your hair to break instantly.

It does work. I used to get my highlights done all the time. [my hair is naturally jet black]

But to get it bleached I'd get it done professionally.

go to the salon, they'll put some chemical stuff on it & probably bleach it to get the black out (if it's dyed black) if that's your natural color, try bleaching it a few times.. that'll damage it soo much more tho.. but that's what i had to do & it worked.. also if it's dyed black, you can buy the chemical thing from wal-mart and all that..

I read in a magazine about a good product called opps and it take the color out your hair going back to your natural color free from any color.

Don't bleach it! If your hair is already damaged and has color on it, the results would be very unpredictable, and your hair may break off, seriously, leave it to a stylist!
