you have nothing to be worried about. I am the same way. Im almost 36 weeks and ive only gained 14 lbs. My Dr told me he's not worried as long as the baby is measuring properly. Consider yourself lucky.

If you doctor is not worried about it, I would try not to be. I understand how you feel I am concerned about my weight gain as well. I am 30 weeks and have gained 15 pounds so far. It also does not help when people tell me I look small for seven months.

If your doctor isn't worried, than you shouldn't be either. I'm 26 weeks and I've lost 16 lbs, but the baby is growing, so its fine.

With my first I had only gained 11 lbs. up to seven months. 27 pounds total at the end. I wouldn't worry. Every woman is diff. I'm almost 35 weeks and have gained 30 this time. A bit more than last time, but that was 7 years ago

I gained 40 with the first and regret it because I NEVER got it off! With this one I asked doc if it was okay not to gain, and he said "sure as long as baby is measuring right". Then I asked if it was okay to "happen" to lose weight and he said that as long as I'm not losing weight from cutting my calories....then it's perfectly fine to lose body fat! I said "well I work out at the gym and have switched to whole grain /fresh fruit and veggie diet with lean meats". He said "thats awesome and if it so happens that you lose some weight, it's an added bonus for mom (me hehe)!" so I say you are perfectly fine!

Thanks Ladies.I think the reason it worries me is because with my first I gained 55lbs but I couldnt work when I was pregnant with him.I think it's because of me working(I'm a CNA).They did measure my belly for the first time on thur and said it measured a weeek ahead.

I wouldn't worry about it if your doc isn't cuz he/she'd tell you if he/she's not happy with your weight gain. I've gained almost 20 lbs at 28 weeks, and most of it in my 1st trimester when I was eating like a hog, but my doc still got upset at me for not gaining any more weight for the past month.

As long as your baby is growing as it should, you don't need to worry about weight gain. I'm 26 wks and have gained 7 pounds. My doctor said my weight gain is fine also.
