The Frustrated Club

I am joining the frustrated club. hehe.

I am trying to induce labor as I am miserable and my baby seems to be trying to get out my body via my sides and belly button.

I have tried the sex thing too. I do some walking, but all that does is drop me a bit. I will look into the breast pumping thing. I know that everyone has something different to say.

Not sure how many of you have to go through what I do, but I go to a clinic and have to be seen by FOUR different doctors.

One - gods. He puts his glove on and shoved his hand up inside me. I cramped for a day and a half.

Another one told me that One day soon I will have a baby. WOW! No duh! lol!

My fave one told me that due to my gestional diabetes that they would have to induce me BEFORE my due date.

The fourth one, well I have yet to be seen by, tomorrow is the lucky day. I am hoping he gives me some good news as my cervix was soft for TWO weeks. I just dialated at ONE last night at the L&D.

I, like some others, had contractions, even AFTER they gave me something to relax my uterous. But due to my cervix staying at ONE I was sent home. YAY! - not....

Now, I think I am losing my mucus plug. Which, from what I have been told, means i am dialating more and that labor will be starting soon - or my water will break. Whichever happens first. Ugh. I am about to lose my mind though. Let me tell ya!

Why are you trying to induce when you aren't even at your due date yet?

You still have like 2 weeks until your due date.. baby is probably not ready to come out yet

losing your mucus plug doesnt nessisarily mean anything... sry

In order to dialte at all you have to already loose your mucas plug, (according to my dr) So i dont believe that is the case, IF your already dialted, But why not just relax and let your baby come out when its ready. You still have 2 or so weeks, and that could make a big difference..

You're not even due yet. Give that baby time to bake!

 Seriously...2 weeks can make teh difference of a pound on a baby!  And even when they tell you "oh teh baby should weigh 7 lbs at birth," it's just an educated guess!  They can be off a little, or even totally wrong.  1 pound can be the difference between going home after a day and being in the nicu for a week.  People just do not think about what is goign to be best in the long run!

I have gestational diabetes. Not to mention diabetes also runs in my family. They red flagged my file for that and cervical cancer. So, due to the gestional... the doctor has told me that induction will be needed. I did just call him and talk to him about it and he said that with my blood sugar getting higher I should attempt natural things instead of relying on drugs. (him or the others doctors i see don't like using drugs if they don't have to. so an edpidural is not an option for me even if I wanted one)

I have been watching my diet - infact I have not changed it since I found out about my gestational diabetes. It has gone up due to my getting closer to delivery. It don't make sense to me. But this is what him and my dietician have both said. If it goes any higher I may have to take insulin and with me being almost 38 weeks and my baby is almost 7 lbs - they are talking induction more and more.

Hopefully tomorrow after my exam he will either tell me that I can wait until July 1 OR that i will have to be induced Mon or Tue. Won't know anything else until after I get back from that. I also have to do weekly NST's. Which is more common now days from what I have been told.

You really should wait.
Trying to "induce" yourself is just stupid. 2 weeks- that's another pound for your baby, and that one pound of fat will help your baby regulate their body temperature. Seriously, the baby's probably not ready to come out. Just chill, there are women overdue right now thinking "any minute now. COME ON!" and you're sitting here "ah it's soon enough GTFO".

they told me 5 days before i had kailey that shed be 7.5 to 8lbs and when i had her she was 6lbs 8oz... your def. right
