Never thought it would happen so early...

One of my cousins grabbed my belly in the middle of the restaurant last friday   And I dont even look pregnant, just plain fat !!

Well I guess as long complete stangers dont do the same, I cant complain much  

I remember that phase. Someone said I looked unfit when I was walking out of the restuarant. They are LOSERS!

mu cousin did the same exact thing when i was like 21 weeks...i didnt look pregnant, just fat and he hugged and kissed my belly...it was weird lol...but totally sweet

people didnt say OMG how far along are you or any of that until AFTER I had my daughter... I mean I was walking in walmart a few weeks ago and this woman looks at me [mind you im pushing a stroller with an infant seat in it] and she says ... aww when are you due? .... Im like uhmmmmmmm yea shes a month old  

yup no baby bump for me..jus belly fat haha.. im 12 wks

LOL thanks! It does not look like that anymore... more like a uniformely fat tummy, from top to bottom (maybe its time for another pic...)

yea I know and the sad thing is ..... Im back down to pre=preg weight. with no pooch. I was so mad I started to tear up and hubs was like babe.... you dont even look pregnant at all.... still ...sucked

You know I feel the same way. I may know that it's bump shaped and not flab shaped. Still, that bit of belly fat that was there before has been pushed out by my expanding uterus. When I look down, I don't see joyful baby bump yet but rather a sort of feminine replica of my brother's beer belly.
Now, all that aside, I live in a pretty fancy second-home community town (disclaimer: I rent my home and work taking care of these second-homers gardens) and the women around here are usually pretty icy or just sort of ambivalent when they see worker-type people around the town. Lately, I've been getting sort of warm, knowing grins at the grocery store (or atleast they seem like it to me).
That leads me to my point:
Either the superwealthy secondhomers are becoming warmer towards random, worker-strangers on Aisle 9...OR maybe I am starting to look pregnant!
Everyone loves a pregnant girl! Anyway, don't worry we're just getting started being temporarily fat. If we start beating ourselves up now, it's going to be a miserable 5 more months. While we may look feel like mass-ice cream-consuming whale women when we look in the mirror, maybe the rest of the world sees us as we really are...

A related story..I'm 20w pregnant with twins and I was walking on the Tacoma waterfront yesterday...some guy going the opposite way randomly says, "Any day now, huh?" Like I looked 9months pregnant or something! Sheesh. What does he know anyway.
