stitches

posted 14th Jun
Well, I'm only 6 days PP, and had a few stitches. I really didnt tear badly at all and I barely hurt, it's just a little sore. However, I was just wondering how long it will take to heal up. I had my son June 8th, and I would really like to not worry about the stitches like June 30th. My husband leaves for a few months, I think 6, for basic and AIT on the first..... Think there's a good chance???

No way!! I had my son on the 10th...   Mine was 4 1/2 weeks early though.

I have no idea about how long...I've got some stitches too. What do you mean by not worrying about them by June 30th?

Awesome, well, I meant my husband leaves on the 1st of July for 6 months or more, so the night of the 30th, I would LIKE tohave a gooodddddd night with my husband haha. But I dont' want to have to worry about the stitches hurting or breaking....

Oh that sucks! 6 weeks? Ugh it seems like there's no hope for anything lol.

Even if they are healed it will still probably hurt. You won't even be a month PP.

I don't think you're supposed to have sex until at least 6 weeks pp anyway...at least that's what I've read and my doctor has said.

Ya it is 6 weeks, but a lot of people don't follow that rule.

They say not to, but I'm very "in tune" with my body. & Most of the girls on here didn't wait but like a week is what I've seen average. A friend of mine waited two days lol.

I would say most people on here wait 4 weeks to 6 weeks, not a week. You're still bleeding at a week and from what I felt still really sore. The doctors tell you to wait because of risk of infection and getting pregnant again. Your body may feel healed, but the inside might not be. I think that if you're done bleeding and everything feels alright at 4 weeks it's your own risk.

stitches are a bitch!       i had minor tearing too and my 'disolvable' stitches would NOT disolve. they were so tight and sore and poked me all the time. i called in and demanded they get removed at 4 weeks pp. they didn't want to because they told me it can take up to 6 weeks to heal, but i refused to leave with them in. since then i've been so much more comfortable (now 5 weeks pp) and i think i'm actually healing quicker. it hurt so bad to get them out though.........

Well that'sgood. Yeah I'd only be three weeks PP by that point. But I don't even feel the stitches. It's not really sore anymore, just itches a little lol. I think I'm healing really well. I dont even need the loritabs or motrin anymore, yay!

Now if only I could get rid of the bleeding lol. I forgot how annoying periods were!

Two days?! I was bleeding all of the place, had leaking boobs, and felt like I had been kicked in the crotch so many times that I couldn't sit comfortably at two days. Sex was the absolute last thing on my mind! The new baby in my house was all I could think about...that, and my hurting body  .
