A ? for Canadian Mom's

When I had my 1st daughter(4 years ago) I had Nubain for pain during delivery, with my second(2years ago) I was told Nubain was discontinued, pharmacies were not making it anymore for unknown reasons.My ? is I see all these Americans saying they had Nubain-so have any Canadians been told whether Nubain has been discontinued?I was told we only have a new pain killer that is pump regulated(don't remember the name) but I was just curious why I was told there was no more Nubain here?

I was in the hospital a few weeks ago in guelph (ontario) and they gave me nubain for pain, So im assuming its not discontinued.........

Did they offer you any other meds-besides epidurals, cause we don't have epis here in Sarnis?I personally didn't like nubain because it made me stoned, but with my 2cnd I had the other drug and it just took the edge off the pain.

I wasnt in labour i was there because of a kidney infection and the ob came in and just ordered that, so im not to sure if there was anything else. I didnt like it either i was too stoned to see straight and told them that but by that time there was nothing they could do.
