i will have my baby on monday(34 weeks)

for the moms that had or has a premmie. how did you handle that situation?. having your baby so early and how did he/she do? any complications?how much did he/she weigh and how long into you took it home/?

I had my son when i was about 36 weeks he was 6lbs and 18 in he did very well and got to go home when i did!

i had my babyboy at 35 weeks he had no problems at all he was in the nicu for a whole 2 mins..he was 4lbs 12oz and now he's 4 month and weighs a whole 14 lbs.. and his doing great.. just be sure to get the steriod shot 2-3 weeks before you had him/her..and if you dont mind me asking why so early?

I had my baby at 35 weeks. I had 2 rounds of steroid tx for his lungs. He was exact. 5 lbs when he was born...and perfect. No breathing problems, lungs were good...He was just small. Good luck!

I had Hayden at 30 weeks. He was 3 lbs 8 oz at birth. He came home at 37 weeks gestational age and weighed 6 lbs 2 oz. He's now 6 months old and doing well. It was rough...especially seeing him attached to all the tubes and wires and never getting to really hold him or see him. However he's thriving well and I'm so thankful that he pulled through alright!

I had both of my kids at 36 weeks and they both did different. My son was airlifted to a special hospital with a collasped lung and was there for a week and then my girl was on oxygen for 5 hours and went home with us. It depends how your baby is and will do. Good luck.

yeah i was glade he came when he did because he would have prob been a 8lbs or so the Dr said.

This literally just happened to me!   I had my son Tuesday night after having contractions since Saturday. He was 35 weeks 2 days when born and weighed pds 2 oz.

There seems to be dramatic differences here....
does anyone have any clue why????

I see the steriods may be a big help??
