started birth control - bleeding?

i had my son 2 1/2 months ago.. i started my birth control "yaz" ive been on it for 3 weeks and a week ago i started bleeding like i was on my period and it hasnt gone away... is it normal to have abnormal bleeding when u take the pill? if so how long should it last? this is also the first time ive ever been on the pill.. i took the patch before.
also there are 4 "blank" pills or whatever in the pack that i take at the end of the cycle and THATS when im suppose to get my period.. .so wtf! does my body have to adjust to the pill before its more regular?

btw i would call my ob gyn but she MOVED..so idont really have one right now.

I had a similar problem with the ring. I bled for like two weeks heavy in the middle of the cycle. Doc said it was normal, especially after pregnancy. Your body is still adjusting hormones, and on top of it you jus tossed in some more for it to sort out. If it worries you too much call another GYN for advice, maybe they will arrange to see you and be your new GYN. If it continues like this too long, you may need to switch. Sometimes it takes a few go's to find the right b/c

It's normal for you to be spotting especially in the first month.

Abnormal bleeding is fine because your body is getting used to the hormones. Sorry my previous response was short. I was BF I'm still trying to get the hang of one hand typing

It's not too bad once you get the hang of it.

How do you like Yaz so far? I've heard it's the Pill with the lowest hormones in it.

late reply BUT.... .i like it, EXCEPT i havent stopped bleeding/spotting. but that could be because this is the FIRST birth control method i used Post Partumand also the first time i tried the pill.
