i just noticed something REALLY weird!!

posted 14th Jun
ok im taking astronomy currently, and it gives a list of lunar eclipse dates from 2007-2014... and i went into labor during a lunar eclipse!!  ive heard people on here say things about full moons and stuff like that causing more women to go into labor than other regular days... was there something about eclipses too?  thats really weird that the moon can have that effect on people!!

My mom works L&D and swears that there's always a crazy night at work when there's a full moon.

yeah... definitly think that it has something to do with it. Where I work all the crazy people tend to come out more around a full moon... there is a full moon next week and everybody at work has predicted for me to have baby then... not really keeping my hopes up, but you can't help but wonder if it's true

yep, the change in barrometric pressure also occurs before thunderstorms-- basically you end up w/ more negatively charged ions in the air-- which jacks w/ our brainwaves.

i never heard about more women going into labor as a result, but it's totally possible.

what i have read about is the documented spike in violent crimes that occurs before thunderstorms and on full moons.

my astronomy book says thats false, but i think they're actually wrong.  there is ALWAYS more craziness in people on full moons.  bad drivers, full L&D (my nurses said that too),  crime, etc.  i didnt know about the barrometric pressure being the reason why.  it makes sense though!

interesting...

i learned that in my environmental psych class waaaaay back in the day (1999 or something).

they just collected stats of violent crimes ... but maybe it's just a myth, i never went in and check the data.
