Question from beginner mom

Anyone who has had a baby before... How long after giving birh was it before your belly went down? Is it like righ after or maybe a couple days later... I'm so happy no stretch marks!... yet (knockin on wood).... but I'm so ready to fit back into my clothes again and I'm curious how long it will be? I haven't had baby yet but this isn't just one of those common sense questions only way you know is if you've been there or seen someone who'shad a baby which I have neither...

It can take months! I'm 3 months PP and I still have a belly. Some ladies can get right back in their old clothes right away, but I don't very many.

I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone. Body types and the amount of weight you gained play a big role.

It really all depends on your body. Everyone is different.

I had my daughter in December and I still have some to lose before I will be back to normal.

I was back to my original size within a month. But, I breastfed and I swear that help's you lose the weight.

It all depends on how much weight you gain. With my first I was back in my clothes by 3 weeks. I am now 7 weeks pp from my last baby and I dont see myself in my old clothes for at least a few more months.

well with both my pregnancy i was able to wear my pp clothes out the hospital! but not every woman is the same depends on you body type.

I think it was about a week before it reeeally went down, but it's still getting a tiny bit smaller. Although, that may be because I don't have time to eat anymore.

I'm 5 weeks pp today, and I still can't fit into most of my clothes. It took a week for me to lose that bulge you get after having the baby. I still have weight to lose though.

I think it's only cats that look skinny the next day.... I know my cat is lookin' grrrrrrreat and she just delivered 6! I looked at her the next day and just WISHED my body would go back that quickly after birth!

breastfeeding has got me back to my size and i'm 3weeks PP and a day..

when your baby sucks it releases oxytocin.. which lets your boobies know to make more milk.. and also makes your uterus contract back to its normal size..

I heard that on the radio the other day.. I wonder how that works... I'll be breastfeeding too. But thats another thing I can't wait to go back to normal is my boobs! they're a 40 DD and I'm normally a 140 pound girl, normallythey're a 38CI look so top heavy!
