Can the soul be evil?

posted 22nd Mar
My personal opinion is the soul in its true nature and state cannot be evil because where it comes from is perfect and the soul is like an individual part of God. However when a soul is born into this world and enters the body it temporarly loses all memory of itself and where it came from. It then becomes absorbed into this reality it experiences the passions of the mind that are only related to this reality. Basically as people soul can do very bad things but in it's true state it is not possible be what we are here is not really who we really are. I don't know if that makes sense but what is your opinion if you believe in the concept of soul?

Yes. I believe some people are born evil. That's why you hear of some kids who come from good homes, killing other innocent kids just for the f--k of it.

Yes, I absolutely believe that some people are born for evil.

It really cannot be disputed.

Equal parts nature and nurture determine a minds state.

It could also be the soul has not yet progressed or simply the biological wiring. I believe reincarnation is real which mean I also believe we all lived lives of depravity at one time

What about a sociopath that does unspeakable things because they have no empathy, and they were like that from go.?

I would consider them evil.

As people I would say they lived a life of depravity but as spirit before birth they were not like that and also understood they would be born into tough challenges.

How is killing people a "tough challenge?"

So basically we have no choice whatsoever in the way we live?

How would not having the ability to understand whatsoever that other people feel emotions, ones they don't feel, be a challenge?

That's like saying, you were born without eyes, so watching a movie or driving is going to be a challenge.

Sure can. There is no other explanation as to why innocent children sometimes take lives. I've watched shows and read things on crime library about it. There are extremely young children who choose to murder for the fun of it, most of whom come from relatively "happy" families.

What I meant by challenges is being born into baggage that makes it harder than the average person to not to act out on its impulses. I believe we have lived many lives and in some of them has these challenges.

There was this one girl in Dadly Women. I believe she was ten when she killed her neighbor's little girl. Attended her funeral where she was laughing and dancing the WHOLE time.

It was sick.

I believe that we have had many lives, some more than others. I do believe in that but not the rest of what you're saying, because surely some people are just born evil.

But in future lives they won't be born evil. If we have lived many lives chances are we have progressed here quite a bit but I believe we have been both victums amd villains.

I know exactly which one you're talking about! And yeah, that little girl definitely had to be evil.

Even reminds me of the girl, Alyssa Bustamante. She killed her neighbor and enjoyed it. The girl reportedly had problems but still, don't we all?

True but we are not all wired here the same biologically. The reason why I don't believe they would always be evil is because cause and effect or karma causes progression. Every soul will reap what it sowed and atone in future lives.
