CVS pharmacy

CVS pharmacy is requiring employees who use their health plan to submit their weight, body fat, glucose levels, &other vitals to the company. If they refuse they have to pay an additional $50 a month. What is your take on this?http://abcnews.go.com/m/blogEntry?id=18770306&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2Fsearch%3Fpc%3DAMAZ%26form%3DAMAZWB%26setmkt%3Den-US%26q%3Dcvs%2Bpharmacy%2Brequires%2Bemployee

My work does this. It's an added $40 a month. If we aren't in a 'moderate state of health' (which... nobody is. A guy that works there eat leans and works out daily, and still isn't in a moderate state of health)... we pay the fee. It's pointless going to the physical because everyone is deemed unhealthy. So we just have to suck it up and pay the extra $40 a month.

so you get filed for being "unhealthy" what would happen if you refusedrefused to share your results?

We'd still be charged the fee.

So what I'm gathering is you just have to submit the information to avoid the fine? You don't actually have to be deemed healthy yet?

Yeah, that's how I'm taking it now. My work charges us the fee, regardless if we submit the information or not   I think they really expect people to be anorexic in order to have in a moderate state of health.

according to my bmi i should be around 110, when i was 120 a few years ago i was to skinny, so their idea of healthy is unrealistic

Then what's the point? Just tack on the fee, I say.

I don't see the big, though. I'm a smoker, I'd expect to pay more if asked to. Luckily DH's employer doesn't give a smurf. If they did a lot of guys would be paying out the ass since nearly everyone he works with are alcoholics and/or smokers, and far from healthy.

What's sad is that I'd probably check out as healthy, but I'm definitely not.

Yeah, there's no point lol. I guess they want to make it seem like you have options and can get out of paying it... but, in reality, you can't. Just another way to raise insurance rates. And yeah, I'm a smoker and they tacked on another $40 a month for that.
