Need help form any one that has used a walmart money card

hey i just got a walmart money card and i put some money right there at walmart. I tried to activate it in there web site and it said card is invaid. im not sure why... is the card already activated once i put money in? if not why is it saying its invaid.
Im puting in the numbers on the card and the 3 sercerty code number on the back of the card... any help ?? :/

You need to call the customer service number and activate it that way, because you have to enter your name, address SSN etc.

I used to work for Walmart and the card is supposed to be active with your money loaded to it within 15 minutes of purchase ..if the problem persists either call the 800 # or take it to customer service..

you have to give them your ss number ...i thought you didnt have to give them your info?

oh ok i thought she said it was activated but i wasnt sure so then i went on line to activated and it said it was invaid so maybe cuz it aleady activated right? hopefully that what it is...
im still un sure why do they want all your info though i jsut wanted it for one purchse i dont want to get the ones recived in the mail

It has to be activated, which requires your info i can't remember the reason they need your SSN but the card you have is obviously temporary, they need your info to send the permanent one out. Your money is on there but it has to be activated to be used.

I used to work for walmart too and they always had to be activated with your info before the card could be used, did it change?
