baby modeling

do any of you ladies know any legit baby contests is or modeling sites that I can get my daughter into for free. everyone is always telling me how cute of baby she is and that I should put her into modeling. I am kind of scared because I don't want to get scammed and I don't want her pictures floating around just anywhere. she is 18 months old by the way

Look into a modelling/talent agency. Some of them take clients for free.

A LEGIT modeling agency, will not charge you for representation. Prepare to spend a small fortune putting together a portfolio though. Also, there is no controlling where the photos wind up - any photos taken of a model for a client, are used at the client's discression. They puchase the photos and ALL rights to them. As an example, a friend of mine who works as a lingerie model (how we met, actually!) did a shoot for a client..real fun, cutesy stuff in some sexy lingerie. It was supposed to be for a portfolio. The owner of the copyright ended up selling the photos and she was used in an ad for a popular porn site, even though she had never done porn in her life. I know it is a lot different than baby modeling, but I do think it is important that you realize you have no rights to the photos afterwards since you had made the comment about not wanting her photo floating around.

agencies not being legit and scanning me out of money or a me making her a profile it is not even a real modeling site for babies.a lady told me about a Baby Gap contest thay I should enter her in to get her started but everything I search comes up something other then what she told me about

This seems accurate. Even if you by some miracle get your child signed up to a legit agency its still unlikely to get work. My cousins son is 3 and is actually signed to a legit agency but as far as I know he's never actually gotten any work in the couple years he's been doing it. They've talked about taking him to casting calls but no luck

We have been approached a hand full of times for dd to
Model (one was a gap contest) they got me all excited and strung us along and then asked for money...that's where we walk away. I don't even give them the time of day anymore. I do have a friend who's son modeled or vans but they had connections so it was legit! She is a bg mama too!

ok how do you get into casting calls I am slow when it comes to this kind of stuff

First sentance made no sense, but I'm assuming you mean sue the company? And no, she can't - she modeled for the client, who puchased the images - legally, what they do with them is up to them and the model has no real say in it.

Also, hon, remember, that EVERY parent thinks their child is the prettiest thing on the planet, and EVERY parent hears how they should put their kid into modeling. IF by some chance a legit agency picks your child up to a contract, the odds of it ever securing real work, is slim to none - you'll probably spend more on the portfolio than she'll ever make back.

You get signed to an agency.

Wow that's just sad you can't trust anyone but I am glad it workers out for your friends son.

Any agency has to be willing to sign your child based on some remarkable trait. Not saying don't do it but don't get your hopes up. There are a million cute kids but only a few modeling jobs

oh yes I admit I am conceit it when it comes to my child I think she is the cutest kid in the world. What makes me think she can be a model is everywhere we go people tell me how she is so cute and should be a model and this has been since she was baby

People have told me all my life I should be a model. I'm crazy thin and tall with perfect skin but unfortunately I learned from a litle experience myself that what a real person and a professional modeling agency thinks is model material often don't line up. Give it a shot but don't expect anything to come of it

Hate to be a bubble burster honey, but almost every parent hears that all the time.
