Does it sound dumb?

Ugh at the time I thought my sons name was wonderful but now when I say it out loud at the doctors office it kinda sounds funny. His name is Mason James McKerchar. Mason McKerchar just seems like too much. Too late now I guess.

I think it's fine. Not really sure why you say 'too much'?

Just because both first and last names start with M.

Maybe you just need to get used to it. All my kids names sounded weird to me at first even though I loved them.

I don't think a thing about fist/last initials matching or not. I thought it was wierd just saying DD's name when she was born.

Yeah^^ I'm probably just not used to saying it out loud yet

I'm really not a fan of alliterated names, but his actually doesn't sound bad. Could be a movie star.

Yeah, it's so strange when they are born, because you are so used to thinking of all of their names together. So once they are born and you say their first and last without the middle all the time it sounds so much different!

Before I got married my name was Kathrin K. It flowed fine. Once you get used to it, it won't seem nearly as awkward
