sick?

So on Monday DS didn't really want to eat much. Then we went on an unexpected long car ride and he threw up.. thought he was feeling better and he tried to eat a french fry (not such a good idea I guess) and he threw up again. We got him some pedialyte and the next day he seemed to be fine. He still didn't eat as much as usual. Then yesterday he seemed alright but still didn't want much to eat later on in the day and was really tired and irritable. Now today he's been fine.. he ate.. but he still seems kind of off.

The highest his "fever" has gotten is like 99.5. He still drinks and the stuff he does eat, he keeps down. He also seems more tired than usual. The thing that is most worrisome is that he has REALLY smelly farts and poop. And it's never like that. Does anyone know if this is like a virus or something? I think I may call his doctor to see if it's something we need to come in for.. but has anyone had a kiddo with symptoms like this? He's 2 by the way.
