Ask him if he is ok with you giving him "direction". Like, sometimes DH get's to focused on something and I don't neccessarily like it so I'll say something and he'll fix it then continue on. I don't say it to be a bitch but he's obviously doing that to please me and would rather me be pleased than not say anything and not enjoy it, kwim?

OK, the fact that y'all have set a date for this to go down is what's making this so awkward and nerve wrecking. It should just naturally happen. And if all else fails, there's always red wine

I would expect it to not be that great if he is inexperienced. I tell my husband what I like. He likes that I do that, too.  

Hopefully it comes naturally to him, but if not just be honest.. he's not gonna know what you like unless you tell him! Don't be afraid to give instructions while he's down there lol.

its not that we have a date set but we both are single parents and literally get 1 childless day a week together so its like sex fest... lol

Never fake it or pretend to like something you don't. Because if you do that, he's going to continue doing what you don't like, thinking that you like it, and you'll never be satisfied. Just put a lot of emphasis on the things he does that you DO like - think positive reinforcement - and I promise he will continue doing those things
