Contractions at 20 weeks..Help
posted 21st Mar
For the first time the other night I had what I think were contractions... it happened on and off from about 7 pm until around 5 am..... It was so bad and tightening that I vomited about three times.. I couldn't even keep water down.... I just wonder if this is normal? Please let me know if anyone has experienced braxton hicks this bad at 20 weeks before I bother my OBYGN

If you have more than 4 in an hour, you need to go to L&D.

I would call my ob. My ob said if I had more than 4 Braxton hicks in an hour to call him.

I've been having them like this pretty regularly since 15 weeks, unfortunately.

I agree you need to call your OB. My doc also told me if you ever have any cramping or contractions that you cant function normally through, you need to be seen.

Please go to Labor and Delivery! There is no silly reason to check on your baby. In 2011 my husband and I lost our son at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor. I did not even know I was having contractions until it was to late. I pray that you are having BH but they sound pretty serious, since they are so painful. We are expecting a son in May and due to the complications we had with our first pregnancy we have been able to take the steps to get this one as close to full term as possible. Go get checked please!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
