feel a little depressed...

i know i post about this often but it get's brought to my attention so much that i can't help it.

We went out to eat tonight where a friend works. she hasn't seen DD in a while. We're also friends with their manager. Both women looked completely stunned when i told them how old DD is. and kept making comments how little/small/light she is. sometimes i get the feeling from people that they think i starve her or something...

idk how to feel either. i love having my little baby and she so dainty and adorable, but then i see chunky babies that are really cute too.

You know you don't starve your child, people all have opinions, even if they can hurt.

Don't worry about what they say. Obviously you're not starving your baby. Strangers think I stuff my babies face because she's so chunky.

thank you. She eats almost constantly with snacks and eats everything in sight. we fought for a long time to get her to gain because her pedi kept bitching. it took me a long time to get to where i didn't sweat it as long as she was eating and happy. other ppl's comments still bother me though. they don't mean anything by it but it kind of hurts...

I think its really annoying how everyone and their mother seem to be baby experts.....ALL babies are different shapes/weight. Quit comparing and competing!! Not you....the others making you second guess yourself.

at her 9 month pedi check-up (wearing only diaper) they said 16lbs 4 oz. then about a wk later at her WIC appointment (completely naked) the said 15lbs 15 oz. this made me sad...

every child grows at their own pace. dont worry about what they say, your doing fine mama!

well how small is she?


my daughter is now 4 and i deal with that a little. not that people make comments but she is the size of most 2 year olds. i think she's like 5th percentile at this point.

however..... i was slightly taller than her, but skinnier. and now i'm a thin 5'8

so i'm trying to not worry about it. i was the shortest kid in my class for half of school.

i was four foot 11 in 9th grade~~~~

Every kid is different.
My daughter was a HUGE baby. She weighed 33 pounds at her 1 year appointment. lol.

My son, however, JUST cleared 30 pounds and he's 3.

  DH's cousin was 50lbs at 2. he was just thick, it wasn't really flabby fat.

Yup! Violet has always been on the big side, but always proportional. She's tall for her age as well, so it evens out.
