period or what?

okay, so 4 1/2 months postpartum, exclusively breastfeeding, and my depo shot just "expired" (lol i dont know the correct term) 2 days ago. today i started bleeding. could this be a period or from the depo shot? i havent had a period yet except sme bleeding right when i got the shot. my baby hasnt started solids and has been nursing the same...

i thought you werent supposed to get a period while breastfeeding?

It could be either or both. The depo shot is the devil though  

SOME women don't get a period while breastfeeding, just like SOME women can't get pregnant while breastfeeding...just as I wouldn't count on it for birth control, I wouldn't rely on it to wear white pants all the time either
