Symptoms after a d&c

I had a d&c friday due to my miscarraige refusing to pass. I felt fine all weekend and monday. Last night, however, I started cramping pretty badly. The pain was much like labor in that it was coming in waves about 3 minutes apart with the cramps lasting about 30 seconds. I took some Norco and went to bed. This morning I had brown light bleeding. This is the only miscarriage ive had, so I have no idea if this is normal or not

Cramping is normal but not waves of it.

I recently went thru this, so sorry. Like you I was feeling ok the few days after then like the 4th day my cramping was like 7 on the pain scale and my bleeding became heavier. I called my doc and they said it was normal and to expect it for the next few weeks.

Thank you for your replies. Regina, I am also sorry for your loss. I haven't bled at all other than some light pink spotting in the hours immediately after the procedure. The bleeding this morning is what concerned me. I was 9 weeks, so maybe my uterus is contracting back to normal size? This entire process just sucks! :/

So, I just called the doctor, and now I'm waiting for a call back. My entire body started aching, especially my back and legs. (maybe tmi, but I just started bleeding dark clotty blood) and my temp is 100.5.. I really hope I don't have an infection

If you are having what like sounds like contractions then it sounds like they didn't get everything out

thank you for your replies. it has taken a while for me to be able to come back to this page. I've gone through some pretty hard times emotionally. i did end up having an infection. luckily a few days of antibiotics cleared it out.
