changing toothbrush after antiobiotics

how long after you start antibiotics are you suppose to change toothbrush and all? (if you had strep or some kind of respiratory infection)

I'd say probably 3-5 days into it. Anti biotics should have time to kick in and start killing infection by then.

thats what i was thinking but i thought that a while back when one of my kids had strep their doctor said to change stuff out at like day 2 which sounds kind of early! lol

I recently had strep and my doctor said after I was done taking the antibiotics to toss the toothbrush. I never had a doc tell me that before. I almost didnt get treated for strep... went in and the doc said "Hmmmm doesnt look like strep" I said "Hurts like hell, it's strep. I know what it feels like." Rapid strep didn't turn up anything. The doc said they could send out a culture if I wanted, and I was so sure I said to do it. He said "Do you want antibiotics? I really dont think its strep but if you are sure you can take them and stop the antibiotics if the culture is negative." LOL 2 days later "Yup you have the form that doesnt show up on the rapid strep test." TOLD YOU SO! lol

I finish my meds in 2 days... I forgot about the whole new toothbrush thing!!
