re: Any counselors...

I think you need to things: education and temporary separation. You should have your counselor educate you about schizophrenia (my MIL has it and so does his sister and we both constantly deal with the effects of it; it's awful but you have to know not to take any of it personally). Also get online and read about it. Maybe post in a support forum for people who have schizophrenia or are family members of schizophrenics. They can definitely help you out a lot as far as being people you can relate to.

As for the separation thing, I would remain distanced from him until you start feeling better AND stronger.

Sorry you're feeling this way. It's good that you're at least talking to people about it, even if it's on Facebook or BG. You've gotta let it out somewhere and that's better than holding it all in.

I cant take this bouncing back and fourth anymore. I never thought i'd feel suicidal over someone I don't really know too well. I got extremely attached this time. Too attached.
I'm going to see my OB and my counselor tomorrow. I just needed to vent somewhere to get me through the night and get some help before it gets out of control again.

Maybe he's upset at the 'guess who showed up? NO ONE' part... Yea you mentioned he was there with you but maybe you could have said no one but my father... IDK either way he is still a jerk for that... Maybe talk to him about getting on medication for his problems??? Either way, I would cut ties after being told GL in life... basically telling me I don't want anything to do with you anymore. Im sorry you're going through this. Just look at the cute little face on Elliott and remember, he's the best part of life itself.
As for the boyfriend, I'd tell him to shape up or ship out.

It's very hard to deal with someone with a mental illness when you are struggling with yor mental health as well. Like derp said, a separation may be best until you get your mental health under control and are stronger. It can take a lot out of you to deal with someone with mental illness. My SO has to be the strongest person ever for putting up with me and my depression and anxiety. I've put him through a lot. Sometimes I wonder how he can even look at me the same way. But it take AA special person to understand it and deal with it.

Something that has not been mentioned here is you coming off Zoloft. Never take yourself off anti depressants without the supervision of a doctor. Most likely, the majority of your suicidal thoughts are coming from the adverse reactions to your body going through withdrawl.

You need to contact your doctor ASAP and work with him/her on a plan to properly wean you off.

Eek I didn't know that   Op if you're suicidal it is not the right time to stop your meds. And if u want off then I agree talk to your dr about weaning.

Yes, OP- you can't just stop taking your meds cold turkey, love. That's probably why you're having suicidal thoughts. Please go see your doctor ASAP to come up with a better solution if those meds aren't working for you. Please seek help, mama!
