Miscarriage and ovulation?

I started bleeding for my miscarriage on March 3rd. I bleed for exactly a week before I was done spotting. I took a pregnancy test last week on the 12th to make sure my levels were going down and it was a light positive. I expected that. I bought a few of the same 88cent tests to make sure they kept getting lighter, but I took one and it was darker?! When are you supposed to ovulate after a miscarriage?! Is it possible to ovulate during? I plan on calling my Doc tomorrow, I actually have an OB appointment that I never canceled on Thursday because I forgot about it. I'm sooo confused, shouldn't the tests be getting lighter?

We have sex daily and he has never pulled out. We even had sex a few times when I was spotting but not heavily bleeding at the end of the miscarriage.

That's not recommended, but what's done is done.


Everyone is different. Some women ovulate right away, some don't. I didn't ovulate for a couple of cycles after my miscarriages.

I've never had a miscarriage before and didn't know what we were and weren't supposed to do. And we both just wanted to do it. Nothing different then what we've been doing since before I found out I was pregnant. But is it possible to ovulate during? Shouldn't my tests be getting lighter not darker??

You would think. How far along were you? Are you positive you had a miscarriage? Some women bleed heavily during pregnancy.

Yes I am positive, it was a blighted ovum. I was about 10-11 weeks when everything started to pass. And a few weeks or so before I got the ultrasound where they found nothing in the sac, I took a test because it was 88 cents and it was dark, like same color as the control line dark. I bled heavily for a few days and passed a lot of clots. Got cramps in my lower belly/back like I was in labor or something. And then a few days after I stopped bleeding, I took a test and it was light positive. Took one tonight, one week later, and it was darker?

only way to know for sure is to have blood work done. some hpts are more sensitive than others (even the same brand test) . diluted urine concentration can also effect the color of test line.
when i had an early mc , my cycle went right back to normal....AF showed up 29days after 1st day of mc bleeding starting....so ovulation can occur the week following a mc but implantation still takes time.

Once the clots are finished passing there are no fetal remains left. Its just like having sex at the end of your period.

I just miscarried also. I had a d&c friday. My doc explicitly said complete pelvic rest for 2 weeks. You are extremely fertile while hCG is dropping. It sends a signal to your ovaries that says "uterus is empty, time to refill it". You are more likely to drop more than 1 egg during this time also. Id say chances are high you could be pregnant again. I would definitely get into your doc asap

That's sad the way you have ridiculed this poor lady after lossing her baby.
Maybe you should think about how you say stuff to people, I know everyone has a right to their own opinions but gee the one you've said is horrid.

I only bled for four days after i lost my baby. Maybe you should not be so judgmental. Are you perfect? Obviously not, because you're judgmental.

Thank you ladies. I don't take her opinion to heart, she is just an old friend who defriended me over dumb reasons. The past is the past tho. If she wants to be rude because she's upset about the past, whatevs. I've got more important things to do with my time.  

And my doc wants me to go in to get things checked out anyways because of possible new pregnancy and get blood work and all that good stuff. So I will update everyone on whats going on when I find stuff out.
