i am still considering what type of birth control i wanna get! i had planned on getting the patch, but after looking into it more and reading about it i read a lot of people get major blood clots from there. and i know everyones body is different, but i guess it just scares me! if you had to pick out of any birth control what would you pick and why?

I'm planning on getting Mirena placed again after this baby. I got it after I had DS and had it for 3 years with no issues.

i would go witht he nuvaring, personally. i lvoed using it. i had no side effects, didn't get pregnant, and it was easy to use. oh, and it was easy to remember, cuz you only had to remember to put it in, and 3 weeks later take it out for a week.

all do, but my prenatel nurse told me it has the highest dose of estrogen out of all birth control, and that's why it causes more blood clots than other birth controls, but who knows!

I'm terrified of IUDs so I've never had them. But here are my experiences with what I have had.

Pill- Hated it because I ALWAYS forgot to take it
Patch- Loved it but after a year of use they made me break out(they had just changed the brand)
Depo-Weight gain sucked but otherwise it was fine
NuvaRing- LOVED IT but wanted something more long term
Nexplanon(new Implanon)-ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Got it back in November.

Not really. To me it felt like a cross between a pap and period cramps. I was a bit crampy for the day, but it went away.

I have a love/hate relationship with my implanon. The newer version, nexplanon, is suppose to help and be different with a lot of issues the implanon has. I'm probably going to get mine replaced at my check up in a few months. But other than the periods i get, I love the implanon. Never have to think about it, or worry.

thats good! my prenatel nurse said that's really about the only one she would suggest. she said her daughter has it and this is her second time getting it, she said they love it! it's easy too, cause you don't have to remember to take it every day!
