So most days, I put Sprout on in the living room for the kids for several hours. The kids get up at different times every day, anywhere from 7-9:30-ish. Some times I put HLN on instead for me to watch. I notice that every time I put HLN on instead, my son will say "Caillou!" or "Chica Show!" and when I turn the channel to Sprout, sure enough, that's what's on! And he doesn't get up at an exact time, so that seems so strange to me!

Does anybody else's 2 year old do stuff like this? Maybe it's coincidence?

He probably just has a good sense of the time of day. His internal clock. Kids are good at that.

It sounds like his biological clock is programmed to know when they're on. Like more of a routine thing.

Considering the line up at that time of the morning. Coincidence. The chicka show is always on. Caillou runs in time blocks. Look at the programming schedule. If he was doing it in the afternoon, I would be impressed.

Maybe he just has a sense that when he wakes up those shows are normally on. Have you taught him to read or recognize letters?

Okay lol. I was curious because DD1 never did anything like that. But she also has never had a big interest in T.V. or movies, either. Her attention span is way too short to care too much what is on t.v. lol. DS on the other hand LOVES the T.V., when his favorite shows are on, he is glued to it, lol

. Chica show is only twice a day I believe(unless it's on the goodnight show, can't recall), once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We don't turn it on until Sunny Side Up Show is on. And as SOON as it turns 11 o-clock, he just repeatedly will sing the Caillou song. Not just during the hour it's on, like, when the shows is just starting he seems to KNOW lol

No it's not. The Sunny Side Up Show is on for 4 hours in the morning and Chica is on that, but the Chica Show is an actual 20 minute show.

It is ALWAYS on at my moms. Seems like everytime I turn around that damn chicken is on.

Lol now THAT'S coincidence. She's on some commercials too, though. But maybe the annoying squeaking is what makes it stand out so it just seems like she on all the time. I want to rip my ears off, I feel like we have a dog playing with a squeaky toy all day
