Dark Red Clotting at 34 weeks

posted 19th Mar
I am 34 weeks pregnant, and am currently 3cm dialated and 100% E-faced. My contractions are 11 minutes apart and not progressing (which is fine cause she early)... After my doctors appointment, around 1pm I started losing bright red blood and having dark red clots. I know after they check your cervix you will spot BUT the brightness and the dark clots, I never had... As anyone else had it? What do you think? I know we are going to the hospital if it doesn't get better. But I wanted to see what everyone else thought... (I am trying not to panic and worry, my husband keeps telling me it's normal)

Spotting is normal, but I don't know about clots.
If it were me, I'd call my physician, especially because you're a month early and having so many contractions, totally effaced and 3cm.
Is your doctor planning on doing anything to stop your labor if it progresses? Have you had steroids to help baby's lungs?

Spotting after an exam is normal, but I don't think the clots are. Give your OB a call.

Bright red blood with clots, I would not trust is normal at 34 weeks as far progressed as you are. I'd get checked out.

That's what I was wandering... I never had clots but that doesn't necessarily mean anything good luck!

No, they wont stop the labor, I asked, but I don't have a 'OB' I see Military doctors so they send me to whoever is there that day... it's like a clinic, I hate it, because I have never seen the same doctor twice since we moved here, (Dec 21st) And this is the first time I didn't have the option of seeing civilian doctors. and no, today they said that if my labor progressed they would do a c-section since she breech but have no intention of giving me steroids or stopping labor at this point.
