Does ANYONE have this already?

I want to get this for my son for his 1st bday so badly but hubby is being a baby and is saying "i cant see the kid driving a go kart right now" FIRST its not a go kart. Second, its for ages 1-3 where as the big ones like that is 3-5 or 6. Third all the reveiws say their kids loved it and it tok a minute to get used to but when they did, they liked it, but hubby is convinced toys r us writes those reviews. So does anyone have it when did you get it and do you think its is good for a first bday?

i don't have a baby yet, but my nephew got one..and we couldn't keep him off of it. haha

I personally wouldn't buy it for my 1 year old. I don't think it's an age appropriate toy at this time. I don't think they would get much use out of it at this age. But that's just my opinion.

my son has one like it. He has the diego one and all you do to make it go is hold down a button on the handle. He loved it, I got it for him once he could walk and he still plays with it (he's 2).

My neice got one of those (hers is pink and purple) for christmas this past year. She'll be two in July, she was a little standoff-ish of it at first, once she got the hang of it we couldn't keep her off it. If you get it make sure to charge it while they sleep. She has a fit when hers dies.

My mom is a pre-school teacher and she has kids that range in ages 2-4. I couldn't believe it when she said most of the kids have cars/rides like these, because I figured they would be dangerous. But apparently they all have them, and LOVE them. I might wait until he's a little bit older - say 2 years old, but I'm kind of a safety freak. Happy 1st b-day to your boy!

My son walks, pretty much, hes wobbly in he morning lol but goes all day all over. I think ill just tell hubby im gonna get it give it a couple days then if he doestn like it we can take it back. Ill probably end up putting it in a closet and tryin again in a few months tho lol.

Thanks!   We arent safetyor germ freaks, but i come from a prety red neck family lol so we figure he will get into it all oneday, whyshelter him now. Of course we take percautions and try to keep him out of potential "boo boo" situations, but hes had a few bumps and bruises already... he is def a boy he LOVES to get into EVERYTHING

I personally would not buy that for my child but toys r us doesn't write the reviews. I have read some terrible reviews of some of their stuff on their site.

I got one for my son for his 1st birthday and he absolutely loved it... i dont see how it is dangerous being that it goes like less than 2 miles and hour... all they do is push a little button on the handle to make it go.... but my son is almost 3 and still uses it...

My daughter can't even ride her walk & ride car.. How would she understand to push the buttons to make this go? I think it would be more appropriate for a 18+ month kid.

I wouldn't buy it for a one year old. I'd say wait till he's a bit older and gwet him something bigger.

I think that toy is cute. I dont see a problem with why your child can't have it. Its more entertainment.
