Should I change my number?

I got a call from a little old southern woman in like December. (I was always working so I couldn't quite catch this number who kept calling me). I finally answered and kept asking for this guy(due to pregnancy brain I've forgotten the name lol). I kept telling her several times she had the wrong number and I had no idea who this guy was. So finally after a week she stopped calling. Well three months later this same lady got ahold of me again. I told her the same thing when she called before. Well after another week of her calling and her sending me texts, I finally blocked her number. Well 5 days later I get another number calling me and sending me texts asking for this dude. WTF is going on lol. Should I change my number or keep blocking the ones that keep asking for this dude? lol. I mean. I can only block so many numbers right? lol

Same thimg happens to me I just ignore it and eventually they never call again

Why are they trying to get in touch with him?

Have you tried calling them instead of just waiting for them to call and be like "Look, you keep calling/texting me and I understand you're looking for someone but this is not his number, I do not know him, and you are wasting time annoying me that could be spent actually finding a way to contact him. I've had to block your number, and will now have to block another, and frankly, if you don't stop, I'm filing a harassment police report because I'm done with this."

I would, but only because I get particularly annoyed when I have to answer the phone for no reason .

I have the same issue, someone looking for Billy keeps calling me. I've had the same number for almost 10 years so I'm not changing mine, but if it bugs you enough I'd change it.

I keep telling them they have the wrong the number and this isn't who they think it is. They are trying to get a hold of some guy. They never say why because I always tell them this is not who they are trying to get ahold of. I never answer my phone as it is really and I don't call people unless I know them so yeah, not going to call someone I don't know. You never know what people are capable of if you threaten police action by calling them to do so haha

I have people calling me at least once a week from different numbers looking for a Graciela; been that way for years. They don't speak English so when I tell them I'm not Graciela they just say "Que?" and hang up.  

Eh, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

hahaha. I should start talking some Spanish to them. Never thought of that, great idea. I only know a few words but I have tons of Spanish friends at work. I will have them make me some sentences lol

Just be like "que? No habla English!"

DH gets calls and txts all the time for some chick. I can't remember the actually name so I just call her Shaniqwa (it's from a song), lol.

We even had the sherrifs office call him looking for this chick.

Problem solve or run from the problem. But what you're doing is clearly not working.

I had this happen a few months ago. They were looking for a lawyer in Arizona. I told them several times that my number does not have an Arizona area code. They would argue with me that when they dialed the number (completely different number) they would get to me. It got really annoying, and I lost it on the person after like the 20th phone call.
