Does horrible spelling come with dyslexia?

DF has horrendous spelling. He said spelled protection as protecshin hurt as heart wont as whont...ect ect.

yes. my DH has Dyslexia and is constantly asking me to spell for him. i dont mind too much but some things....yeah....

I thought dyslexia was mixing up letters... like putting them in the wrong order, not putting completely incorrect letters... I could be wrong though.

Not like that lol. But making letters backwards or letters out of order yes. I have dyslexia.

mixing them up, writing them backwards. D as B for example. bad rhyming, reading comprehension, etc

Yes, it can.

My sister has dyslexia and spells horrid too. The ard teachers at her school say its because with dyslexia comes comprehensions issues also. So its possible

It can also manifest as bad spelling, making up words by mashing together sounds while speaking... Etc. there are different types of dyslexia. Bad spelling is a common part of it, though not everyone that is dyslexic is bad at spelling.

wow, didn't know that part! Interesting. I know a few of my husbands friends that I feel are dyslexic but were never diagnosed as kids... it's quite sad actually, especially with all the aid available now.

I know a few people with different forms. One is fine at spelling and reading (when she gets tired she says letters switch while reading) but some phrases just get completely switched in her head when speaking.

Like, she cannot say the phrase "puppy slippers". It just comes out as slupper pippies.
