Food ideas for kids who are milk allergic/intolerant.

My son is lactose intolerant. My daughter has full blown milk allergy. How do these two differ and what kinds of things do u feed your kids? Some food ideas would be super helpful!!!!

Intolerant is not being able to tolerate the proteins in the milk, being allergic means they're allergic to the protein.

My eldest is lactose and he can only drink Almond milk so if something calls for milk we sub it with almond milk & he can't eat cheese or anything like that. He can't eat cheese, yogurts, Ice cream (besides italian ice), cake, ect. He was at a bday party and had a little bit of cake and ice cream and puked everywhere.

Intolerant can sometimes be treated with a pill,making them able to eat some milk products. I only know this because i have a cousin who was/is lactose intolerant.

As for what foods to feed them,i would try to look up some milk free recipes and such online.

well the doctor said cheese doesn't have lactose. But to not give him milk, yogurt or ice cream or chocolate. She has us substituting yogurt with lactose free for him and soy for her , soy milk for both(because thats what WIC will give us, otherwise I'd use almond) and coconut ice cream by SOdelicious for events like birthday parties.

I'll have to try that ice cream. Cheese contains massive amounts of milk

well she said it contains milk, but the proteins are processed so it's not linked to lactose intolerance, but rather to milk allergy. I'm so confused!!!!

My son cannot intake any cheese or he is pooping and throwing up everywhere. He LOVES Mac and cheese so we found a vegan kind thy doesn't contain any kind of dairy.
