Help! 13 month old and sleep

About 2 weeks ago my one year old came down with an ear infection and was up all night screaming. He has finished his antibiotics and has no other symptoms of being sick. Well ever since, he has been waking up around 2am and staying up for an hour or more.

He never slept through the night. I had finally weaned him to water at night, of which he would take a sip or two and be back to sleep. Well now, he demands to be held, will scream and carry on. He won't take the water and will only stop screaming after I give him a bottle of milk.

I don't know what to do. We have come so far, I was finally getting my rest again and then he gets sick and it all goes down the drain.

Do keep giving him the milk? Do I try to force the water even though he refuses it? He won't even lay down for me. I'm exhausted and at my whits end.

His whole entire schedule is down the drain from this damn ear infection.

Possible growth spurt. I would just give the bottle and try stoping after a week.

Ya it could be possible and that is why he is wanting it. Might be a coincidence that same time as ear infection. Although they can be little buggers some time   I would just try to do it for a week and then wean him off again. I swear my son did the same thing
