ultrasound question

This is my fourth baby but a first time for this. Went in today supposed to be 8 weeks one day. They did an ultrasound saw nothing at first then found a tiny baby with a tiny heartbeat. They now say I'm 6 weeks instead. Should I be worried. All my other lmp were right with all my kids

Interesting. They kept my date based on the date of my last cycle. They did tell me based on the ultra sound they wouldn've dated it differently, but kept with what our midwife documented as the due date. I think's is funny, since we were using the body temp, symptoms etc we knew the exact date of conception but just when it the whatever date they "estimated." Baby arrive on baby time, when they are ready.

I can see you concern since that is a 2 week difference. I'd seeks clarification with your ob,doc,midwife.

Your due date can be off two weeks in either direction because you can always ovulate early or late. Early ultrasounds are the most accurate with dating. I would not worry about it, if there was an issue with the baby I am sure they would notice something being off and would have said something to you.
