My son didn't start biting until he got his molars in around. 14 m. He is pretty advanced with language (16 months now) and will say "No biting!" and smile when he wants to bite....then I take my boob away and say " Seep ( milk) only NO biting" and he wines for it again but doesn't try to bite.

He's gotten alot better....there were a couple times I automatically jerked his head off my boob tho...and felt horrible about it...he didn't cry tho

That's what the lactation consultants told me when I asked what to do if they bite. I never got to that point in breastfeeding, but I was told never to do something like that.

I think that is a perfectly understandable response to the pain of someone trying to gnaw on your breast lol.

Haha yeah....thank god he has stopped biting down...he has 12 teeth
