BLW

If you did/are doing BLW what foods do/did you feed your LO? We've been like half ass doing it, but now DD is refusing anything she can't feed to herself. I already basically just give her what we're eating, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. She is 8 1/2 months and I'm still breast feeding, too. TIA!

Yes I give him anything we have, he has lots of fruit, vege, crackers, sliced meat, pretty much anything.

well thats what BLW is, letting them feed themselves. I gave my son tiny pieces of whatever we were eating, put it on his high chair and let him have at it. He started trying solids around 8 months, but really didn't eat alot until after a year. He was mostly breastfed up until that point.

Lol I know. That's what I'm saying, it seems like now it's going to have to be all the way. DD started showing an interest in our food at like 4 months, we started letting her try things around 5 months and its just progressed naturally since them. However we did try baby foods around 6 months, but now she has no interest in anything she's not feeding herself so I'm just going to do BLW 100 percent.

When did you introduce dairy? I've been avoiding it so far

haha yah my son hated being spoon fed, he always tried grabbing the spoon out of my head, so I just skipped that and let him do his own thing!!

yeah I never gave my son dairy directly until a year old, if the food had cheese on it or something, then it would be fine.

I did when he was about 9 mos and also peanut butter and eggs, no reactions to anything so far although he's not keen on egg.

Watching. My 7.5 month old will only eat solids if he can do it himself, like your LO. Not sure when I can start giving him anything besides fruits and veggies.
When is it okay to give bread, crackers, noodles, dairy, etc?

SO thinks he's an expert and introduced peanut at 6 months. Luckily she had no reaction and she loooooves it
ETA: she doesn't like eggs, either
