If you have ever sold anything on Ebay...

How long do you wait for a payment? What is too long to wait for one? I just sold my 2nd thing last night & the lady STILL hasn't paid me yet for it. The first thing I sold, she paid right right away, so I am not sure what I do if they take too long to pay or don't pay at all? I mean obviously I am not going to send the item out until she pays....

Well I would wait a little longer than that..

I mean my mom buys off ebay all the time but since she works 5 days a week and 11 hrs a day she often forgets to check her bidding if she won etc....and will pay as soon as she notices.

Or I am bad for not checking my paypal account and its empty once in awhile so when I buy it gets ent in an echeck and takes up to 8 days to clear. But It sonly happened twice and I always contacted the seller as soon as I realized it was an echeck.

I would give it 24hrs with no contact after or close to 48hrs I would contact them and remind them top pay.

She had contacted me right before to ask about the item, then she bought it with the "buy it now"option instead of bidding. I will message her tonight about it. It is still saying on my ebay acct that she hasn't paid either.

Unless you put it in the auction that buyer had to pay withn a certain time limit you technically have 5-7 days after an auction ends before you're allowed to report non-payment to ebay and relist or second chance the item.

What is your rating on Ebay? I'm actually a big Ebay seller and if your new to Ebay, normally once she leaves feedback on the item(after its shown she has paid for it thru Ebay) then PayPal will release the money to you. I give my customers 5 days to make the payment. Going into day 3, I send the a message about reminding them about their payment, no contact back by day 5, an non payment case is opened, then if they don't pay by day 5 on a case, then its closed and its recorded on their account. To many of those, Ebay will close the account out and they won't be able to buy on the account anymore.

Ahh ok thanks. I just started so nobody has put any rating yet, the first item I sold to a chick is like almost to the lady but not there yet. Paypal gave me my money right away for the first item I sold because the buyer has to pay for the postage & I can't mail it out until I get the postage money.

True. Understandable. I've been selling on Ebay for over a year now but starting out can be kinda heckic but you can make money on Ebay if you stay at it. This is the link to my store on Ebay.

Thanks, it can be because buyers can be particular about things. I got my first review which was good   So yay me! Lol. Will do   Thanks for the advice.

I always gave people 7-10 days to pay.
