Castor oil does not work, Any other suggestions?

I am 40 weeks now and I tried castor oil twice, and it didn't work. I have been 1 centimeter for 3 weeks already and I am really stress out. Please help.

Wait till your baby is ready.
Or talk to your doctor about induction..

You're not late until you go past 42 weeks. Just an FYI. I would wait, and stop trying to force nature. Your baby will come when he/she is ready.

Like Kristin said..wait till your baby is ready or talk about induction.

It's not your show sweetie. It's all on the baby. Basically, some doctorsmay not induce you until you are 42 weeks. But you can talk to your doctor about induction and he/she will tell you what they think is best. Other then that, walking may help.

walking and sex. thats the only suggestion i have. i have been walking on my treadmill in 15 minute intervals for DAAAAAYS!!!!! and as for the sex thing, i dont really want to do it, but hey what ever works right?? and yuk castor oil, ewe, the thought has crossed my mind, but massive diarehha does not appeal to me. i also heard the raspberry leaf tea works to help induce contractions, but i despise tea, so i have never actually tried it!! and as for waiting till 42 weeks, i think that is ludacris, i would definitely talk to yer doc about what there induction plans are so you can have a little comfort

Well the castor oil idea came from a nurse a she told me after 18hrs that I took the first 2 ounces that I could go ahead and take another 2 ounces, but because the second time didn't work I just gave up. I have friends that did it and it worked for them so I guess this is just something that works for certain people.

Do people enjoy taking dumps from drinking castor oil?

What nurse would tell you to take castor oil?!?!?!? She needs to go back to training.
