Whatever hospital you're going to and whatever nurse gave you that suggestion...you need to stop going there and listening to thier advice. No nurse should ever be telling you anything like that. That's the last thing you should be doing. It's harmful.

I went the plaza and walked from 11am til about five pm and when I got home laid down for about an hour and that worked for me.

Any method of self-induction will only work IF YOUR BABY IS READY TO COME OUT. That was the case for your friends. In reality, they didn't need the castor oil because their babies were going to come anyway. The only thing that truly works is waiting. Or having your doctor induce, which isn't the best option unless there's a risk to the baby if s/he stays in longer.

I've had diarrhea so bad the past week, I can't imagine taking anything that would make it WORSE. Ugh. OP - just wait it out...you're not even due until tomorrow. Most 1st time pregnancies go all the way up to their due date, or a little late. Relaxxxxxx...baby will come when its the right time. It won't be long now.

all that did was give me contractions, my dr says sex is the best thing, also the l&d nurse said st johns wart is a great cervix ripener, take it orally of course, and eat spicy food, and then go for a long walk and have sex, that should set something off. But mainly be active and exercise, if you dont want to walk in the heat, do squats in the living room, lol but no jumping jacks

That was harsh. Obviously shes waited 40 weeks already so calm down. You don't need to call people names or put them down.
