I dont think she needs professional help at 3.5, I think it is excessive. However, scare tactics work really well at this age, just dont go beyond the it can make you sick, then if you do you created another issue.

This is the age where you set personal space boundaries for them to follow, and where they learn what their personal space is.

We are going to talk are teacher about it, just so we have some professional to help us too. I just needed some support in the meantime.

DCFS doesn't just take your kids away. They can also help you with more avenues for explaining things like this to your children and helping you decide if your child is showing any warning signs. I said specifically that what her child is doing sounds totally normal, but IF IT TURNS INTO SOMETHING MORE ANS SHE CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY HER DAUGHER WOULD BE DOING THAT then she can contact them and they can give her resources to make sure her daughter is safe. I had a friend who's child was doing more obscene things, and she didn't know where he'd learned it from and didn't know what to do. Her and I contacted DCFS for help and they were amazing. Of course neither of us had anything to worry about because there was no abuse going on at our homes.
