Coffee

Before I fell pregnant with my first baby I was a caffeine addict; coffees and red bulls all day (often in place of food!)
When I fell pregnant I went cold turkey, it was easily the worst habit I've kicked (I am a former- well before babe was conceived- cig smoker and weed addict!)! I mostly did this because of the guilt of caffeine and decided I just needed to stop all together.

This time around I really don't want to quit! I don't drink red bulls or caffeinated sodas but I do drink coffee, around one a day, sometimes less.

I know I am easily drinking under the max reccommended level, but I still feel semi guilty. But I have a 14 month and I want my coffee dammit!!!

Anyone else feel the same the second time around?!

A) one cup of coffee is perfectly fine.
B) Why do people always say "fell pregnant"? It makes me think of it like its a disease or something... lol

i drank 2 cups a day and a soda. i had/have a toddler to keep up with. my ds was/is 100% heathly! only now i cant drink more than 1 soda or half a coffee, he cant handle it

With my first, I stopped drinking tea (never really drank coffee anyways)

With my second, I would drink 7 or more cups a day   she was born big and healthy, sooooooo, yup I felt the same as you do.

Lol I've never thought about the "fell pregnant" thing to be honest. Just something I hear and have adopted?!
How do you phrase it just out of curiosity ?

It's funny, cos I KNOW what I am consuming is ok, but I still feel guilty.

It's like my brain is arguing...

"you quit last time, you did so well!"
"I didn't have a toddler last time"
"stop using it as an excuse, you should try"
"I WANT COFFEE DAMMIT"

Hmm I do say got pregnant too sometimes. Lol the "fell pregnant" thing is something I've never thought about, but now i bet I can't stop thinking about it! Haha
