I’m so scared.. Kind of long. :/

Friday I had the worst scare of my life. I thought I was having contractions so I went to the ER. But it was a false alarm & I’m not dilating either so they sent me home & told me to rest. She was in a weird position & her arms were pushing into my cervix & her feet were at my left lower ribs. I have never been in so much pain. I thought I was going into labor! My vagina has never hurt so bad! Neither have my ribs! She weighs about 2.5 lbs & she's actually really small, about the size of a 23 week fetus. But the thing is, is that I'm only 5'2 & weigh 108 at 30 weeks pregnant so my body probably couldn't handle a larger baby. And that scares me smurfless.. I really really thought I was going in labor though. I'm scared to know what REAL labor feels like. I have a high pain tolerance too. It hurt so bad it was literally making me sick to my stomach. Idk if I’ll make full term, I’m aiming for at least 34 - 36 weeks. I feel like I could pop any day now honestly. She has like no room so every time she moves its starting to hurt. Especially when she gets low by my vagina or behind my bellybutton. I dont know what to do. I’m so scared for my baby ): I feel so horrible & helpless.

The best thing you can do is relax. Stress is definitely not good for her. Your doctors will monitor you closely if they feel its necessary. We have had a micro preemie (26 wks at 1lb 9.5oz) and although there were definite complications she is a healthy 5 year old. Our bodies were made to carry babies! Don't worry so much, and get lots of rest.

Why wouldnt you make it to full term? You can carry a larger baby, lots of petite women do.

U/S measurements are often off. Chin up, theres nothing to really be worried about unless your doctor mentioned something you didnt put in the OP.

I have a friend who was 110 lbs full term and delivered a 9lb baby vaginally. We're made to carry babies. It's not just bigger women that have big babies.

Also, why wouldn't you make it full term? Because the baby was kicking your ribs? lol

I'm 5'3 and petite (I'm overweight, but htat has nothing to do with the size of my pelvis or vagina) and I delivered a 10lb baby with no drugs...vaginally.

And a 23 week fetus is more like 1.5 lbs. I know. The baby in my avi was my 23 weeker who was exactly size-appropriate for his gestation.

And the end of pregnancy is painful and uncomfortable and baby gets in all kinds of crazy painful positions---has NOTHING to do with when you will go into labor until you start having contractions, which you're not.

You're fine.

I'm 115 lbs and 4'11, my daughter is estimated at 6 lbs already, I'm dilating and effaced but that is in no way linked to my size. There's no reason to make pre term goals there's no reason why you won't go to your due date or even overdue.

My cervix ached so badly for about the last 4 weeks and I had that feeling that he was "falling out". I wasn't even dialated a little bit, it's just pressure and a feeling we aren't used to. My son made it just fine to 38.5 weeks even though it felt like he was coming for a few weeks before that. Also I was thin and only gained 15 pounds but my son was normal weight, almost 7 pounds. You should be okay   it's normal to be concerned, but try not to freak yourself out too much.

No, not because she was kicking my ribs ha.. So funny? There’s a few risk factors involved with my pregnancy actually, that I don’t really like talking about because one, it gets me too worked up.. and two, I don’t want people to feel sorry for me or something.

That’s exactly how it feels like for me.. & she is only estimated at 2.5 pounds. The pain is so bad that I cry pretty much every single day. I mean, I don’t really mind the pain though, well I do obviously.. lol. But I don’t mind it as long as she is growing healthy. I just want her to grow & stay in there as long as possible. I don’t care what it does to my body as long as she is okay.
