So, congratulations! Your son just turned 13.
You catch him watching porn online. What is your reaction? Do you punish him? Buy him some "vanilla" porn, so he doesn't watch anything too crazy on the internet? Shame him because masturbation is disgusting? Let him watch porn on the internet to satisfy his curiosity? Ban him from the internet for the next 5 years?

How would YOU react?
I saw this on FB and saw a lot of women who were like "hey as long as I'm not getting virus' then let him have at it."


I think that's what I would do as well (after I got over the shock of it of course lol ) But I would also make sure that BD or I had the sex talk around then.
I don't see any problem with a young man masturbating.

At 13, I wouldn't say anything.

I wouldn't care. I started masturbating before that.

For my son or daughter, I would discuss that it's healthy to have natural urges and make sure they knew that these feelings can lead to unplanned sex, etc. Then I would make sure my child was well educated about sex. And if they want to masturbate that is their prerogative.

I wouldn't let him watch anything, there's some disturbing porn out there. I would probably give him some playboys and limit his Internet access until he was older. I'm not against porn at all but I don't think a 13 year old is really ready to see some of the fetishes out there and it's not like porn sites are sensored, lol. Nudie pics are enough at that age IMO, not likes it takes a lot to get them going anyways, lol

He would have violated trust regarding use of the computer and would be punished for it. No punishment for masterbation as that is normal.
We'd have a conversation about porn but MOST importantly, I wouldnt want him going to places on the net that he isnt supposed to go.

Don't punish him, he will think its wrong and not natural to explore his own body.
Maybe explain its normal but you would prefer him not too watch the porn as its got a age rating for a reason, and get a parent lock on your sons computer?
