Preeclampsia...

Last night I had noticed that my feet were starting to swell but I didn't think nothing of it cause I'm 35 weeks so I thought it was normal but lately I have been getting a really sharp pain right under my ribs on the right side and my hands are so swollen I can barely make a fist like it hurts really bad . Well I thought all of that was normal just a case of being really pregnant lol but then my friend told me about preeclampsia and I looked it up and now I'm really paranoid. Has anyone had this and could tell me what else I should look for or what do you think I should do?

Mention your symptoms to your doctor at your next appt.

I had pre-e, and delivered LO at 37 weeks.

Yea that's what I was going to do . I was at the doctors Friday though and they didn't say anything about my blood pressure being high or anything

if you start having symptoms that come on all of a sudden get to the ER asap. you dont want to mess around with pre e, its very dangerous for you and baby. good luck to you.

Swelling can be normal, but if you're experiencing swelling in your hands and face, or swelling out of no where I'd go in asap! I went in for my 36 week appointment and had my son the next day.

How is your blood pressure? That's really what indicates
Pre e. I had it with my first daughter and my blood pressure was insane! I was induced at 38w1d

My blood pressure was fine at my 36 week appointment, I went to the er later that night and it was sky high. It comes fast

Protein in your urine is a big symptom as well! GL to YOU!

My BP was all over the place, too. Some days it was normal, other days it was elevated. And I never had any swelling (that I noticed).

They diagnosed me with pre-e after my 24 hour urine test, I was spilling a lot of protein.

i have had insane blood pressures of like 165/ 90's ya no joke and they have me on ALOT of mg of BP meds its crazy i have protein in my urine but i guess not enough for there to be concern to the drs......(enough for me cause its serious)....i guess i have reg swelling but def be careful im 31 weeks and already ready for this pregnancy to be done ......pre e is something that can poof show up in even a couple hrs.....ya NO JOKE! .....but GL

Same w me....I have swelling etc...protein in urine...on 300mg labatalol and 250mg methyldopa 2x a day.....mine has been 170/106....I'm 34+2 today. ...dr isn't hopeful about getting to 37 weeks

ya im on 800mg X2 day of labatalol and i cant take the methyldopa cause im allergic....and ya Dr. said there pushin to keep him in there till 34 but they of course want to keep him in there till at least 37 but im doubting ill make it that long I've been admitted like every week i go for my checkup its sooo insane.....are those your blood pressures with the meds? mine go down then climb back up like i just took it and its 165/94 i tell ya what with the amount of meds im on it shouldnt be that high .....lol

My dr told me I was almost maxed out w labatalol....are u sure 800mg is ok? Mine on meds are high....let me take quick...at least 150's....gets up to take

I've been sitting in chair its 156/94 on meds in a chair...not active

ive been high risk since like 20 weeks so i go to like the best women and children hops. in orlando fl and they told me max they can give of the labatalol is 2400mg total in a day.....it sounds ridiculous to me trust me .....im just keeping faith in these drs and this hospital.....LOL
