If you've had a tubal ligation

If you had one (not during a c-section, just out patient where they went through your belly button) how long did you have residual belly button pain for? I'm 9 days post op and I still have a lot of sharp burning pain around there. Mostly on my left side. went back to the doc but they said I'm fine   . Probably just where they cut through the nerve or whatever. Just wrote me a scrip for more percoset. Which is great but I'd like to know WHY I'm needing them.... is there an infection internally somewhere? They didn't even take my temp.

TMI but DH and I were having sex last night and when his belly rubbed against mine it really hurt.   I thought from everything I heard that this would only be like 3 days of pain/recovery max.

I haven't had a tubal ligation, but I had a laparoscopic gallbladder removal about 11 years ago. I had some residual pain from that for about 2 weeks.

I had one done last November and honestly the worst part was the pain I had in my shoulder because of the gas, pain around the site was pretty much gone in the next day or 2. And the actual the incision was a little sore for a couple of days but nothing that bad. I didn't even need to take the pain meds they gave me, I stuck to regular OTC stuff.

Percocet is a pain killer so if you did have an infection it wouldnt do anything.

I havnt had my tubes tied, but I had my appendix taken out laproscopically and I was sore for about 2 weeks. They gave me Vicodin for the pain though

Yeah the gas was the WORST part. the first day or two kicked my ass. Once that was gone, it was decent. The pain from the belly button only really hurts when I move from a sitting or laying position or when it's touched.

The doc doesn't think it's an infection or anything, so I guess it's not, so I guess that's the reason for no antibiotics, but I have no idea why it's still hurting this far out from surgery.

Did they go through your belly button for that?

My belly button was sore longer than the other 2 spots they went in for with my appendix.

Tubal was through the bellybutton. Gallblader was vertical from the top of my bellybutton (very small) 2 on my right side abdominal and a 2 inch one right under my gallbladder

lucky they had to go in and find mine was in the hospital for 2 days after and sore from my staples for 2 weeks till they came out.

OP is it red or hot to touch or oozing?

Just keep an eye on it....
