premature baby?

so Im kind of nervous about this baby being early. My last pregnancy my son was born at 36 weeks and weighed 5 lbs. He was completley healthy but we were told that we were so close to having him stay in the hospital because of his weight. My doctor told me that I will probabily go early again and could even go a few weeks earlier then my last. Im nervous that if I go early again this baby may not be lucky to be completley healthy and will have to stay in the hospital. Has anyone had a premature baby and was your next one also premature or more premature than the first? Thanks

My first was a preemie. 34 weeks. This one has multiple heart defects. And they swore they didn't think I was going to make it to 32 weeks. But they sooo badly wanted me to. I had the progesterone shots until 36 weeks. I'm 38 weeks now.. And delivery is no where in sight. (Except the c section scheduled in 9 days)

is progestrone that medication they give you so you dont dialate early? I started dialating at 28 weeks with my last one.

Yea I was put on it at 18 weeks

Im suprised my o.b hasnt said anything about it to me, and he is a high risk o.b. im going to ask him about that the next time I see him

I'm not sure they give progesterone to moms who delivered after 35 weeks. But I may be wrong. It's a shot in the booty once a week.

The shots are the best out of the three ways to take the medication but you can also have an oral form and a vaginal insert either pill or cream

my oldest was born at 36 weeks my water broke naturally and my youngest soon to be middle daughter was born at the same time as her sister 36 weeks. i was at a 4 at 35 weeks and they helped me get to 36 weeks but i was almost an 8 so they kept me. i am pregnant with my 3rd daughter and my doctor said he is more than sure she will be early and he thinks shel be a few weeks earlier than her sisters but he is hoping that shel at least wait till 36 weeks or 37. i had a feeling my youngest was gonna come the same time as her sister and she did. my doctor then didnt believe and refused to deliver her. this time i have a very strong feeling my 3rd will be joining us in may late may which will put her at 34 weeks. both my girls were healthy and got to go home the same day i did. my oldest was 5lbs 1 oz and my youngest was 5lbs 13 oz, we are expecting this one to be in the 5-6lb range. i am going to ask for another ultrasound to see how her lungs look... maybe your doctor would be willing to do the same for you

My son has an asd heart issue we didn't find out til he was two months old.....has this effected ur child in anyway? My son will be five in june and we just go yearly to cardio

when I went into pre-term labor at 29 weeks they noticed he had a skipped beat after he was born his heart rate went into the 200's and needed to be brought down with meds. He has appointments every six months to monitor it and has had no complications from it which the doctor was surprised about because his was very big at two it closed up over half way and is continuing to close slowly but still no complications thus far and he is almost 4

First 37 weeks 2nd 34 weeks 3rd 36 weeks and 6 days

That's awesome to hear...my sons is just small enough to not need surgery but he has no restrictions. ...its stayed the same size since two months but obviously heart has gotten bigger so it doesn't effect him....did they tell u chances of having another child w it....I had two after w no complications...pregnant w number four. ..pre e etc but baby looks good so far

My first 3 were born at 38 weeks, my 4th was born at 36 and I am only 24 weeks this pregnancy.. hoping this baby girl stays in the oven for the whole 40! =)
