38 weeks, klonopin.

posted 16th Mar
Have any of you been prescribed klonopin in late pregnancy? I was just the other day. I took one, and haven't touched it since. I'm sooo nervous.
But, my baby is 9 days from coming. With multiple heart defects. (I wasn't on any medication in the first trimester, or before, but suffered servers ppd after my first, and they think the hospitalizations and surgeries are going to make it worse this time.) but, I'm nervous. I research and it says not common in pregnancy, or while breastfeeding. So why'd they give it to me, along with Zoloft, and what were your conditions? Has anyone safely taken it at the end, and while bfing?

its pretty much Xanax and i wouldn't take it during pregnancy especially the last trimester. i just looked it up and it says its a schedule D which has been known to inscrese the possibility of a cleft palate and limb defects... its also not good if u breast feed... i stoped taking it a few months before i found out i was pregnant. if they gave it to u then they probably feel the effects of u not having it are more dangerous then the possible effects on the baby but since youre so close to delivery id wait to take it till after the baby is born and formula feed unless u take it for seizures...

by the way:
I have a severe anxiety disorder and i take 60MG of Cymbalta and 200MG of trazodone a night

Yea. When I asked about it. They basically just said he's formed.. We don't have to worry about defects anymore. I'm most concerned about the over sleepiness.

No. It's really not. So I'm not taking it now. I'll just have to figure out something for bfing.
