Where did you have it? How many people came? Did you serve real good or just finger foods? Was there theme?

I spent over $1000 on my daughter's first birthday, everyone who said they'd be there, didn't show up.
I only had my family show up.

We did a Little Einstein theme. I went all out. We had 40 people give or take. I had catered BBQ sandwiches, sides, etc.
ETA: We had it at my grandparents house on the Bay. The older kids hung out in the hot tub.

We rented out a play place called Toys 2 Try, we had pizza, salad, and chips and such. I made a cake, it had crumbled oreos and ttoy trucks on it. We had all the grandparents, aunts and uncles, and our 3 best couple friends and their kids. So about 25 people, give or take.

DDs birthday is in June we are inviting the same people who came to my baby shower (all family). I would say probably around 75 people. We are having it at a local lake (we're hiring a personal life guard for 4 hours). We are doing hamburger, hotdogs, salad, fruit salad, potato salad, pizza, and sandwiches. Cake, cupcakes, and ice cream for dessert.
Her theme is a luau since its at a beach.

It'll be spring time and usually so pretty around her birthday so we are having it at my parents, since we are the ones who live like 60 miles from everyone. I guess I'll get stuff to grill, chips and baked beans. Then birthday cake and I've cream.
Idk about a theme though.

For my oldests, it was jungle animal themed. A lot of people showed up..like 40 I think? We had Filipino food catered. & we made a few things.
For my youngests, it was toy story themed. Maybe 25 people showed up, & we made everything- Filipino food & "American" type stuff. & we got little Caesar's pizza.
Eta: we did it at our house each time.

I spent over 1,000 and it was yo gabba gabba themed. My aunt has a huge backyard so we did it there and we served real food. We had a cotton candy machine, a clown, a bounce house, and foofa. We had over 100 people that came too. My FIL loves to cook so he cooked everything
ETA: we had 2 5 foot heroes, salad, pasta salad, hotdogs, hamburgers, wings, potato salad, beans, antipasti and other things I can't think of and then we had cotton candy and I made cupcakes and we had a cannoli cake.

We had it at a "clue house" at our appt. (just a large room with tables and a kitchen). We have about 50 people there and the theme was Dora. We have rolls with ham or turkey and cheese, chips, dip, veggies tray, cake, and ice cream. It was awesome but I realize I went overboard! Lol spent close to $300.
